I remember being 18 and wow,
30 seemed prehistoric.
Now that I am 30
I realize how silly I was.
No different then when one of my children hits a milestone age, this is kind of a big deal for me.
Not in the kind of way that’s
Ew! I am thirty.
But in the
Thank you Lord for giving me these years kind of way.
I have accomplished so much in my twenties.
Worked for Hospice, went to nursing school, ( then much to my parents disagreement ) switched majors to beauty school 🙂
I was engaged, married my high school sweetheart. We bought a house, sold a house, made many mistakes, but my most favorite thing of all is starting a family.
I became a Mama Bear at the young age of 22.
So for the last 8 years of my twenties I have been a Mom. That by far, has been my greatest adventure, blessing and what I am most proud of.
Looking forward to what the next decade will bring, my little rambunctious boys will become men, taller than me, stronger than me and I may get a few more gray hairs 😉
But what I have learned for certain is time has no intentions of slowing down. Before I know it I will hit the big 40 🙂 and I refuse to let my life just flash before me.
So I am making some vows to myself:
To be thankful everyday.
To look into my husband and son’s eyes and tell them I love them as much I as can.
To never take one single moment for granted with loved ones, because we just don’t know what tomorrow will bring.
To dance even when people are watching.
To care less about what people think and more about what God thinks.
And finally laugh at myself a lot.
( that’s an easy one ).
Life is so precious,
And I am so incredibly blessed.
I am proud to say I am 30!
Cheers to getting better with age!
at thirty you finally start to catch up to those dreams you’ve been chasing for the past ten years –
